Two Little (True) Tales

One of my pet peeves is when an owner of a vehicle double parks or parks lopsided in a parking space, The ones who annoy me the most is the obnoxious owners of the big double cabbed trucks. I feel they think they own the road and parking lots.

I figure if I can park straight, although it takes maneuvering sometimes, with my Cerebral Palsy, everyone else can.

Okay, I'll drop the Cerebral Palsy card. At least I tried. HA!

The other day I went to Russell's, our little country store. There was a white double-cab Ford truck parked right on the line of two parking spaces. There was another car parked correctly in the other parking space which was a handicapped parking space on the driver''s side of the truck. This happens all the time! So what do I do?

I parked in between the correctly parked car and driver's side of the truck. I parked so close to the truck that I knew the person wouldn't be able to get in his truck unless he went on the other side. I know it was bi$tchy but what can I say.

My shopping took less than 5 minutes. Yea, that's why I love country stores. Lo and behold, a 60-70ish year old gentleman was puffing a cigarette leaning against his truck waiting on me. I pressed my unlock button on my keychain as I walked to my car. When he heard the beep and saw the light flash, he jumped up and yelled, "You parked too close to my vehicle! I had to wait!"

I thought aww poor baby.

A couple was walking up but stopped to see the altercation.

Not saying a word I put my bag of items on the hood of my car. Playing dumb I took a step and I leaned over to see the other side of my car.

I then said, "Oh yea, if you had NOT double parked your big-a$$ truck, maybe I would not have parked so close. You need to relearn how to park. That's why there are two line to park between NOT over. Without addressing what I said, he angrily demanded that I get in my car and move.

That was not a good move on his part. If he had asked slightly nicer I would have hurried. But he didn't. So I moved as slow as a turtle.

I very slowly got in my car playing like I was having troubles Got in. Put my purchase on the floor of. Checked my mirrors that were just fine. Strapped the seatbelt like an 100-year old.  Checked my hair in the mirror (I never do that).

I glanced around. The man standing straight up with his hands on his hips watching me.  I know he wanted to come strangle me. If eyes could kill, I would be dead.

The couple that was watching was moving along slowly but caught my eye. We smiled at each other and they gave me a thumbs up. I thumbed back. I then slowly  put my moon roof down. Slowly. Played with the radio, started my car and finally started to back up like a snail. It took me about 2 minutes when normally it would have taken me 30 seconds. I could tell he was fuming. I saw his mouth going 100 mph as I drove off.

The next story is about Hubby and I. MyHubby calls me every day when he gets off of work to let me know he's on his way and to make sure I don't need anything. My phone is usually nearby and I answer promptly.

The time he usually calls passed. I thought nothing about it because sometimes he works a little later or if he has to do an errand he'll do the errand than call me. He had mentioned the previous day he might do something.

About 1-1/2 hours later he walks in and sees me sitting in my chair. I could hear some panic and tinge of anger in his voice. He asked why I didn't answer my phone. I responded that my phone never rang.

I looked at my phone and I saw it was on silent. I had forgotten to change my ring after our ASL class the previous night. OOPS! He had called me 5 times. He said when I didn't answer the first time, he figured I was in the bathroom or didn't get to it in time as it does happen. However, I usually call him back right away. I didn't. He waited a few minutes and called again. No answer.

So he drove to Wallyworld because we needed a few things. He called me when he got there but I still didn't answer. He said he thought twice about going into Wallyworld and instead just head home.

But we needed some things so he went into Wallyworld.  He called me again to confirm some things on the list. Sometimes I put abbreviations he doesn't understand. He was also hoping I'd answer. But I didn't.

He then started to really worry. He hurriedly got the groceries and when he got into his car, he tried again with still no answer. He said by then he had started to think the worse and wondered how he would find me.

Did I fall and he would see me bleeding?

Was I deathly ill in bed?  It has happened when I was sick and my blood sugar was very low and he ended up bringing me to the ER.

He was very worried and kept thinking what he could find. My poor Hubby!

When he returned home and saw me perfectly fine he was relieved. MyHubby doesn't show worry much but this time I could tell in his voice he was. I apologized and he took a deep breath hugging me telling me to NEVER do that to him again. Throughout the evening he repeated for me not to do that again and I scared him bad!

I felt so bad the whole night. But thankfully, everything was fine.

Last Post….

of 2013 that is. I gotcha didn't I?

Another year is coming to an end.  I look back at this time last year, MyHubby and I were "Homeless". The home buying process was coming to an end and there were delays of getting it on our property.  We spent Christmas and New Years living at my awesome Mother-in-law's.

God works in mysterious ways because since then I think my MIL and I have bonded in certain ways. I think she has learned I am not totally disabled and am capable of taking care of her son. I have learned that she is only a concerned mother and she is full of more wisdom than I can imagine.

My health was overall stable until my hospital visit this month. It hit me hard. But I am still kicking. The tendinitis is still bugging me but oh well.

I used to make New Years Resolutions but I find them useless for me.

Anyway our Christmas of 2013 was memorable. Christmas Eve, we shared it with Hubby's family. We went to the Memorial service in remembrance of his dad and all others who had lost a loved one. I think it is a beautiful event.  After we enjoyed a nice dinner at my brother-in-laws home and visited with his nieces and mother.

Christmas Day, we went to my niece's as my sister is remodeling her home so my niece volunteered. She was a great hostess. We again had a great meal. I was able to meet my second great nephew. Now we have 3 small children in our family again. It was fun to see them.

The oldest is 2 year old Andrew who is very busy, energetic and all boy.

Then there is cutie pie 1-1/2 year old all girl Lillian, happy, quiet and rather do her own thing.

Jonah is the youngest 5 months who is also a happy boy who wouldn't cry with anyone who picked him up. I got the chance to hold him, kiss him and squeeze the cut little cheeks (Softly).

The blessing was everyone was there. Sometimes someone was offshore or off to another place. This year all of my family was together.

Oh and I met BabyGirl's boyfriend for the first time. I gave him a subtle short talk about not hurting my daughter. He took it well. I wasn't able to talk to him one to one like I would have liked to but if he is around I'm sure I'll get to know him more. He seems like a nice wholesome guy.

After we left there we decided to go see if my BFF, JoAnn was home. She lives right down the road from my sister and niece. My niece lives a few doors down from my sister.

The few times I had gone no one was home. They didn't even know where we lived. But our friendship is like that. We may not talk to each other for months or even years, but we continue where we left off. Miraculously, she was there with her crazy husband and her Mom who I hadn't see in a long time.

JoAnn's husband and I get along great. We pull tricks on each other and jokingly insult each other. I am thankful my best friend finally found this man. She deserves the best.

They have an X-box for when her grand kids go. We checked it out. It is pretty cool. It is better than the Wii and PlayStation that we have. I laughed until I cried watching MyHubby and Joann play a game. It was so funny to see their faces and movements. Ahh that will be a memorable time.

We came home later than we expected but it was all worthwhile.

We are going back to my brother-in-law's New Year's Day to have a meal and watch some LSU football!!!!! GEAUX TIGERS!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I wish you a safe and Happy New Year! Be careful if you go out New Year's Eve or Day!

Paying For Daddy's Meal

Since the few previous posts were rather drab, it's time to make you chuckle.

Let me tell you about my Daddy. He has always been a loving and supporting father. He has worked hard and continue to do so even retired. He is busy busy busy although he had a stroke at a young age, around 1984. I remember around that time because I was working. Ever since then he has an aneurysm and many other problems and is not in the best of health. Due to a combination of his medical history and working in a very loud hoist building at a salt mine for many years, he is hard of hearing, especially in a public venue with a lot of people talking and noise.

At the beginning of each month, my Mom's sisters and brothers get together at a local restaurant. Somehow MyHubby and I have infiltrated their get-together. It's the only time I would see some of my aunts and uncles. I enjoy their company and the food. No one has kicked us out so we try to go every month although it is an hours drive one way.

My Daddy's birthday was at the beginning of this month. My mom was at retreat at the time of the monthly dinner. So MyHubby and I decided to treat Daddy.

We arrived at the restaurant first so we told the waitress to put Daddy on our bill but don't tell him. We knew he would refuse and give us a hard time.

After the delicious meal, the waitress started giving out bills. Daddy was watching her intently. As she was walking away after giving everyone their bills I heard Daddy loudly ask her where was his bill. She completely ignored him. I don't know if she just didn't hear or totally ignored him for our sake.

I saw his eyes follow the waitress. When she came closer he jokingly asked if he was eating free. She laughingly responded, "Yes you sure are!"

He likes to joke as well.

He thought she was joking with him and he said, "Oh okay." He was not convinced and was really confused.

Everyone had their credit cards and cash out and the waitress eventually picked them up.

Again, Daddy stated to her that he still hasn't received a bill.  She chuckled. "Maybe you don't have one."

I saw the look of confusion on his face. Maybe he just couldn't hear her clearly or he was really confused.

As she passed out the receipts she was chatting with us and skipped Daddy. Daddy said, "Everyone got their bills but me."  She just laughed.

I could tell it was time to tell him with the look on his face of growing agitation and it was already done so he couldn't argue with us.

Hubby was sitting next to Daddy with me next to Hubby. I told Hubby to tell Daddy not to worry about it. It's paid.

Daddy said, "Oh really? Who?"

As I said, Daddy has many medical issues and his memory loss is one of them. I can tell him one thing and the next breath he will ask or say something about what I had just said.

He said, "Really?" He scans the room.

I gestured to him and mouthed, "Don't worry about it."

With his hand to his ear, he asked, "What?"

I can't yell over the noise so tapped Hubby to tell him it is paid for already.

Hubby turns to Daddy, "Don't worry about it, your meal is paid for."

Daddy finally gets it! And starts refusing. I walked up to him and scolded, "No, just hush.  It's done. Happy Birthday!" I never hush my Daddy by the way.

He continued to dig in his wallet. I said in his ear, "It's all paid for Daddy!"

He asked, "The tip?" I confirmed it was paid for too.

He thanked us and I am grateful he just took it in stride. I think he was relieved that his mystery was solved.

We did give the waitress a little extra for playing along with us.

My parents don't often let their kids pay for anything and it is nice to just have them LET us pay once in a while.

Does your parents give a hard time when you want to do something nice for them?

Throw Back Thursday And Birthday Wishes

I decided to share a picture and short story about the picture for ThrowBack Thursday.

First, I want to say it is my birthday. I feel it is a miracle in itself that I made it this far.

I have an "uncle" and friend that shares my birthday. Different year but same day. I write uncle in quotation because I could never call him Uncle Robert as I am older than him. We used to play together. He used to tell me I needed to call him Uncle.  But I refused and still don't call him Uncle Robert. We laugh about it. Don't know if he reads my blog. I already wished him Happy Birthday on his FB page. But for in case he does HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNCLE ROBERT! I'm saying Uncle just because it is our special day HA!

There is another person who shares my birthday although she is not with us anymore. She is an angel in heaven. She was a year younger than me and we grew up together on The Island. I remember one year her mother gave both of us a birthday party which I still remember to this day. She was a kind loving person. I miss her and think about her, especially on our Birthday.  Happy Birthday Gwen!

Now onto the subject of my post.

I don't remember who took the picture. I assume it was a staff member. I assume their focus was my legs hence that's why part of our heads are cut off.

This is a picture of me at 9 years old. Every few months I would go the Crippled Children's clinic. (Gawd I hate that word "crippled") When they closed a few years ago I was able to obtain my records and this photo was one of a few included.

I suspect they took pictures to see my progress.

I loved that shirt! It fit my personality at that time.

The person that was with me was my orthopedic doctor/surgeon. His name was Dr Brown. He lived in New Orleans and flew done to see a few of us then he would fly back the same day. When I needed surgery which were quite a few we would travel to New Orleans to him.

He will always be an inspiration and my hero.

He went to heaven several years back.

You see, he had polio. He understood what us kids went through with surgery. He was caring and loving.  He was awesome at what he did.

He used to call me his Sunshine because I was always smiling even though I had tears coming down my face in pain after surgery or when he moved my legs a certain way.

I remember I did what most thought was impossible, learn to ride a two wheel bike. He was surprised but so happy and proud of me. That look on his face of delight will always be in my memory.

I hope he knew how much he helped his patients and how much we loved him.

Do you have someone that impacted your life? Who is your hero?

Dream: Black Bean, Popcorn and Raisin Medley

Last night I had a dream. Yea, my dreams are off the wall! But at least this one is not about BabyGirl or my car missing or being lost!

It was my parents, Hubby and mother in law staying in a drab room. The room was like one at a Retreat House I attend, except very drabby and empty. Just one room with a small bath connecting.

Don't know where the furniture was. All I saw was four walls of drab grey.

I was standing at the stove I presume because I was looking into a gumbo pot and reading a recipe that was sitting on a counter that looked like the one in my old apartment.

The recipe stated that I had to put a little bit of olive oil at the bottom of the pot. Throw in the popcorn kernels, black beans and raisins. Then allow the popcorn to pop slightly, whatever that means. I was to stir constantly.

Following the directions the popcorn did pop but after it was cooked the popcorn was green so the pot medley was black and green.

Scene changed as most of my dreams do.

I had 4 pieces of chicken and when I was getting ready to serve, I realized that I had five people not four. So I started cutting the chicken pieces in half. In my mind I would cut them in half, put them back together and make 5. I know. Illogical. But its my dream.

So I manage to get my 5 pieces of  chicken and serve everyone. I put the plates in front of everyone. They all look at each other and then at me.

My Mother-in-Law asked, "What in the world?"

Being clueless, I said, "What? Its Black beans, popcorn and raisins." I look around and tell my my mom, "You like black beans."

At my dad and then Hubby: "You like popcorn."

To everyone: "And I like raisins. And it s a veggie to go with the chicken!"

I thankfully woke up!

Veggie! Green popcorn? Black bean, raisin and popcorn medley?

Who knows where that came from!

God blessed me with BabyGirl who turns legal today. She has been my pride and joy. She has been my  reason to keep living.  She has been a daughter I would never have dreamed of having.

I look back through the years and see how she has grown and matured. 21 years ago, when I held her for the first time I remembered thinking I hope I can be a great mom.

I had so many worries. Worried if I can be the mom she needed. Worried if she would hate me because I wasn't like other moms. I worried I wouldn't be alive to see her grow up to be an independent woman.   There were so many worries. Some I still worry to this day, about different things. But that's what MOMS do. I guess it is part of our job.

God has blessed me with this awesome, accepting, loving, compassionate beautiful daughter and I thank him DAILY.

I wanted to do something special. After all, she reached a milestone. She is now a legal adult who can drink alcohol. At first, I just planned to take her out with Hubby and I.  And she was okay with that. We were going to go to Olive Garden.

Then I started to think.  This is a special moment in her life. A milestone.  I know being with us would be totally fine with her but then an idea started to form.

What if I could give her a surprise party with both her families?? Not too big, just parents, grandparents and her step siblings and Nanny and Parain and a few friends. Her friends weren't able to make it as they had to work but I have to give it to her BFF/roommate, "K'. Because she kept the secret. She was awesome and has earned my trust!

Her father and I cannot have a conversation. It is what it is. But what if we can put our differences aside and join together to make OUR daughter a special day for her this year.

So I contacted her stepmother. Her stepmother and I communicate better than my ex and I. I love her. I know that is weird but she is a genuine good person. I don't know how they ended up together but she has to deal with him and she has been like another mother to my daughter.

I attempted to make reservations at Olive Garden but after a long discussion, they said they don't take reservations. It's first come, first serve. That is for another post.

So I went to Plan B. I called Johnny Carino's and they took reservations for 20 people. So we were set.

I made BabyGirl believe we were going to Olive Garden. I promised her I would buy her glass of wine but we had to drive her there and back. When Hubby and I picked her up, I told her that I had called Olive Garden but they wouldn't take reservations and it would be 1-1/2 hour wait so we decided to go to Johnny Carino's  She said okay.

When we got there everyone was waiting for her. When she walked in she was surprised! She said, "Holy Sh-t".  Her stepmother reprimanded her about the language but I GOT HER GOOD with the surprise!

BabyGirl walking in with Hubby. I was behind them. See her face? LOL!
We all had a good time. She told me later we don't know how much it meant to her that we all got together for her! And that was my goal, to make her see how special she is. SO special that everyone came to help celebrate!

The food was great and our waitress was awesome!

Here are some more photos I have selected from her birthday.

BabyGirl, Hubby and I! (I hate pics with me in them)
Babygirl holding her stepneice Peyton, my sister (Her Nanny) and my brother-in-law Ted.

So as not to give her suspicious, we gave her gift at her apartment. The funny thing is her father and I gave her the SAME card! That was all too weird.

BabyGirl and her Granny and PaPa (My parents)

BabyGirl and her dad and awesome Stepmom

I am so thankful that it all came together as it did.  I am thankful that I actually pulled it off because that smile on her face was all worth it!

Happy 21st Birthday BabyGirl!

Embarrassment because of Cerebral Palsy In Family and Friends?

From time to time I go onto a CP Community Board on Face book. It is for all who have CP to congregate and ask questions and/or share their stories.

As I was scanning through I came upon this question. 'Ever see your child "embarrassed" because of you? '

Surprisingly to me, many had stories about their children being embarrassed.  Some kids requested they not walk with them etc.

It sparked a reminder of one of my online friends/fellow blogger had a set of parents who were not accepting as she grew up.  When I heard her story, it also boggled my mind. It still does when I think about it. She is a strong person getting through it all but I can't even guess how she felt.

One girl shared that she was asked to  walk in her friend's wedding. However, when the parents met her they said she would ruin the wedding.

SERIOUSLY?!

The girl told her friend it was okay to find someone to replace her. She wanted her friend's day to be special and go smoothly. She knew her friend wasn't embarrassed.

I admit she took it better than I would have. I probably would have done the same thing for my friend. But on the other hand I think I would have been hurt because she did not stand up for me.

Reading other people's experiences make me realize how blessed I am. I have a family who have never been embarrassed by me.  They accepted me for who I was.

I can say without a doubt that my sister was not embarrassed by me. Yea, like every sibling rivalry she probably wished I would go away as I was a pesky little sister. It was my job to make her annoyed, I admit I did it well sometimes!

None of my friends were embarrassed by me. But then again, I would not have friends who didn't accept me the way I am and were embarrassed of me. I was in two of my friend's weddings. I couldn't believe they asked me. I had voiced my fears of falling down the aisle with the long dress to one. Her response was it could happen to anyone and if I did, she would just come pick me up. It meant a lot to me that my friends accepted me and loved me enough to ask me to wobble in their wedding. (It was supposed to make you smile!)

My worst fear was for my child to get teased or embarrassed by me. But early on she showed she was not. She defended me when one of her classmates teased me and let him know it was in his best interest to keep his thoughts to himself. And in the fourth grade, she had a 4-H project. She did a presentation on Cerebral Palsy.

It's unimaginable to me that people who are important in your life would be embarrassed by your CP. I just can't wrap my head around it.

I am sure I will be thinking about this for a bit, trying to figure it out.

My jumbled thoughts are:

It is not like you can do anything about it if you have CP. None of us with it asked for it. Probably all of us would agree that if we had a choice we wouldn't have it. But we're stuck with it and we just have to make the best of it.

I understand children can be selfish and inconsiderate at times but to treat their parents who gave life to them like that, is incomprehensible.

I understand some teens go through a phase of independence and embarrassment of their 'normal' parents. And maybe that is also true for children of disabled parents.

As mentioned by others in the CP community  my worst fear came true for them. Their kid were bullied because he had CP so the kid requests they stay clear of him when they are at the school.  Or their sibling has CP and they are being teased because of it.

Maybe it is not totally embarrassment but fear, of them not being accepted by others because of their parent or sibling with CP.

It is such a cruel world.

I don't know. I guess it never happened to me and I can't understand it. In my life, family was important. We were to love, respect and accept each other, period.

What do you think? How do you think you would feel if you had any kind of disability and your child was embarrassed?

I Was Speechless!

"You know your my number one right? The one I can always count on no matter what I'm dealing with. You say I'm your rock Mamma. But honestly, it's the Mamma who's the rock for their daughter."
                                                                                                                 My BabyGirl.

Yes, I was speechless.

My  heart swelled. I cried.  Tears of happiness. Tears of pure Joy. Tears of pride. Tears of Accomplishment.

Me? Her Rock? Awesome! How many parents have heard that from their children?

I honestly never thought of being her rock. I don't know why.

I always said SHE was my rock. She kept me going when I would have easily hung it all up. She was the reason for my fighting and staying here. She will always be my ROCK.

I am blessed to experience this sort of bond with an extraordinary daughter.

Happy Birthday to MY Sister!

Today is my sister's birthday! I won't tell her age for in case she reads this. She is the best sister in the world. You can argue with me about that with your own sister but I stand by that statement. SHE IS THE BEST SISTER IN THE WORLD!  Her name is Melanie.

God blessed me with one sibling and how awesome he chose her to be my sister! How special is that?!

She is a very strong independent woman I so admire. She has a heart of gold and like myself, wears her heart on her sleeve. She is a very loving and nurturing person.

She is also a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, nanny, aunt, daughter and friend. There only a few adjectives I can think of at this time. But every positive adjective, that is her!

I love you so much and remember, continue to be the wonderful person you are.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELANIE

(I have no idea who is hugging her or whispering in her ear. But I love this pic of her laughing!)

Happy New Year

At 10:30 last night, My Love and I were sitting in our chairs. I can tell he was tired from the physical work he has been doing for his job. I asked if we were staying up for the New Year.

He looked at me red-eyed and inquisitively responded, "I don't know. Are we?"

When I woke up yesterday I had nausea and I was weak. I hardly ate anything. (There went my four pounds I gained.) I believe it was just from doing too much with Layla Thursday. So I took him off the hook. I realized we were feeling the same thing and we went to bed. He was passed out in 2 minutes.

We slept through the fireworks. I set my alarm for 6:15 and it promptly went off. I got up and put the roast in the slow cooker and went back to bed and woke My Love up "Grin." At 7:30 we both got up and when I checked the roast it wasn't even hot. I figured out later that it wasn't plugged in all the way.

We realized we didn't have enough eggs for the cornbread and brownies so while My Love went to the store I called my mom and sister. My mom and dad said they were too old to want to celebrate a new year and they were going to eat whatever they had and stay around home.  They were thankful to make it another year though. HAHA.My mom and I caught up with everything. My sister was in one of her nontalkative moods. But she was sick. So I diddled daddled around the house.

Randal returned and he baked. I hate baking but don't mind cooking the old fashioned way on the stove. He cooks microwave-way and bakes. That makes us a team in my eyes!

The roast was cooking. I called Layla to see how she was doing. She sounded tired. Her girlfriend is leaving tomorrow so I asked her if she needed me to go help her during the week. She has this puffy sling on one arm so she is not suppose to move it. She actually said, "Yea, just so you can help me bathe." I was shocked. She rarely admits she needs help without my insistence.

Later she called me back and said the doctor had said she could take the bandages off on the third day which is tomorrow. She wanted to know if Krystal and her got back to her apartment, ate and bathed and it was past midnight, if she could take the bandages off.

I had to think what day it was because she has a tendency to confuse me to what she wants me to see. I sighed and answered,"Well since you are always technical with me I'll be technical with you. Technically, 3 days is around 11 am." I hear her groan. I added with caution, "What are you going to do after your bandage is off? Do you have the small bandaids to replace the big one?"

She excitedly answers, "Yes, I have them. We're going to sleep after and we probably won't be up until after 10 tomorrow." I inquired why she wanted to take them off earlier. She responded the tape was itching her. I had empathy and told her that as long as she applied the bandaids and keep it clean she should be okay.

I was surprised that she actually thought, called and asked before she did it. She usually just does what she wants to do. Maybe this surgery scared a little bit sense in her little scatterbrain she can have.

Anyway, our guest, my cousin K came over. We invited her because she and I reconnected on Facebook a couple of months ago. We got together for lunch a few times. I didn't want her to be alone and I enjoy her company. So she came and we enjoyed our lunch and visit.

Our lunch was traditional around here: Pork roast, rice, gravy, black eye beans, cole slaw and cornbread. She brought some wine. Dessert was Fudge brownies.

Although we had a nice holiday season, I am so glad the holidays are over. Time to get back to every day dullness. YEA! TIS MY LIFE

No Excuse for Rudeness..especially in Family!

Last month I went to my sister's to celebrate her son,my godchild's birthday. He made 30 years old. My whole family was there except my daughter (LG)but she was coming after work and my SO was working as well. We live 20 minutes from my sister's (MB) house. That day the New Orleans Saints game was on.

When I got there the birthday man (AB), my brother in law (TB) and neice's boyfriend (SC) was in front of the TV watching it barely acknowledging us. When we ate the 3 just sat in front of the TV yelling and watching football while the rest of us was at the table.

Remember, we took the time to buy a card, drove our 20 miles  and make our day available for (AB).

At half-time, (AB) and (TB) comes yelling, "C'mon, its half time, lets do the cake." So we hurriedly gave him the cards and we ate cake.

Right before the game ended, my mom and dad left. However, they had seen LG two days before and they did their duty for (AB). My daughter called me and told me she got off work early and was on her way. Everyone knew she was coming a little later.

The game ended and I was so ready to leave but I was waiting for my daughter so I could see her and we had to give each other stuff. Well out of the blue AB, SC, my  neice (BB) and AB's girlfriend (BC) started talking about going to Wallyworld to look for Christmas decorations. One of them ask when? AB says, "Let's go now." I kept repeating, "LG is coming" to deaf ears. LG  had just called to tell me she was on her way.

Well AB says, "Lets go now." I thought, "Is he really going to leave like this?" AB, SC,BC and BB start getting their stuff. It was such confusion and  I was so upset, it was like everyone talking was blending into each other.

I realized they were actually going to leave. So I called my daughter stating they were getting ready to leave.

She said, "I'm on my way."
I responded, "I know. Sorry."

I felt disappointed, hurt, frustrated and anger.

I could tell by her voice she was disappointed. "I bought him a card and decorated it."
I suggested, "Throw it away or mail it to him."
She responded, "But I have all kinds of faces on it and stuff." Then she adds, "Well since I am on my way, I am going to just visit with Nanny." (My sister, MB)

Well in the meantime AB is rushing everyone to go. AB has always been loud and can't keep still. It is like he is hyper.

My daughter calls me back saying that she changed her mind and she turned around and is going home. We made arrangements to meet at a later date.

So I got off the phone and told MB I was leaving. She asked me to wait because she was going to fix  some for my SO (Significant other for those who don't know) to bring back.

AB looks outside and says, "Nanny, you have to move your car. You are behind the car we are using"

I asked, "You can't go around me?"

MB yelled, "Just hold on."

AB totally ignores MB and tells me "No, you are behind me."

I said, "Take my keys and move my car then."

MB is saying, "Just calm down and wait a few minutes."

AB answers, "There is no where to put your car." Which was true except for the grass and it was wet.

MB finishes fixing the plate and I had other stuff to bring out the car so MB and BC walks out helping me. After we got the stuff in my car I hugged BC and MB.

MB whispered, "I am so sorry."

I responded, "I do not hold you responsible and you don't owe me an apology."

Do you know while I was saying bye, the other 3 had already sat in the car waiting for me to back out?

When I started on the road, AB was tailgating me.

As I drove home, I ran everything in my head and I became quite upset. When I entered the door my SO asked me what happened? I just cried and told him everything.

AB has done hurtful things to me in the past and once I told him how I felt but he never responded.

I meditated, prayed, talked to a friend and read my bible for an answer for a few days.

I came to the resolution that even if I said something it wouldn't matter. He is selfish and inconsiderate. MB and I never discussed it because my issue is not with my sister.

I am planning my dad's birthday next Sunday to be here. The game is at noon. I called mom today and we started talking.

I told her what happened after they left on AB's birthday. She told me that MB apologized for the rudeness to her when they met up at yoga. My mom told her they were all adults, yes, they were rude but the apology from her is not necessary.

As we talked she told me by my saying he is hyper is making an excuse. She said there is absolutely no reason for rudeness. I agree. She was not happy with the situation that day without knowing what happened.

I told her I had been thinking alot of what to do and I have decided in order not to be in that situation again, I am contemplating in not going to AB's birthday. He doesn't appreciate it and obviously doesn't care.

As w were talking that hurt came back and I started crying. I thought I was over it. I get so frustrated with my sensitive side.

My mom said that she went to retreat last weekend and talked to the priest. The priest said when someone hurts you, you will always be leery with that person because you have the knowledge that they have the capability of hurting you again. It is normal. The hurt will lessened in time but from time to time, it will resurface. The important thing is how you deal with it.

I told mom I will write or call my sister and tell her its at noon and to remind them to record the game like I will be doing because the game will not be on here. If they think the game is so important they don't have to come and I feel adamant about that.

Mom had an afterthought and asked what time will Layla be available. She said they were free all that day so if we want it at 4-5 that is fine. So I need to call her and make sure she is off that day and if not I will make it for when its convenient for her.
